Words

There is nothing more plainly simple than words. Just plain ol' dots and lines and dashes. I get that language is complex and understanding is something entirely different, but from what I know, the best way to come together and develop thoughts and make something of them, is by writing them down. Or typing. Whatever I'm not trying to split hairs. The point is, wouldn't things be simpler if people just wrote down what their problems or ideas were, and others came to help them try to solve them? When it comes down to it, most conflicts start with a misunderstanding or something incomprehensible, so there should really be no place better to start than at square one; words. Words connect us all, even if we don't speak the same language. That's what translation is for. If the world is going to go to pieces, either at our hands or mother nature's, it's a relatively humbling thought that with out language, we wouldn't even understand that something life changing was happening at all. I know life can be cruel and things can go wrong and you may not end up happy, but that's why it's important to write it down, because it's what separates us from wild animals, and this way we don't forget anything and hopefully we learn something and grow. There's really no point in moving forward if you make the same mistakes over and over, so this is where I'm going to write everything down so I don't forget the past, and this way, I can just save it for later. I'm going to share my days, dreams, and daydreams with you, and you can help me solve them, laugh at them, or whatever floats your boat, as long as you use your words~

  1. We never forget the past, but we do sometimes forget the lessons the past teaches. Those lessons are usually hard, forced on us, painful. But if we don't forget those lessons, the past can be black as night, but the future will forever be full of light and hope. Otherwise, we're just stuck in a dreary grey. They say that you shouldn't follow the light at the end of the tunnel, but what if that light is the only thing that gets you through, if it is what defines life? It may only be a small flashlight, but as time goes on and those lessons are remembered, that light can grow until it is the sun, glaring at you and wondering where the fuck you've been.

  2. That's why I'm gonna try to do this, because I don't want to forget any lessons I've learned once before. Whether it be an argument, a mistake of a relationship, or a lost friendship, at least I've learned something from all of them.
